The Monkey King, Son Wukong is like the Chinese version of a marvel comic book hero; because even today, his tale keeps getting repackaged and keeps getting retold. Whether it be through Dragon Ball Z, as Goku is based on Wukong, Netflix special, games like Black Myth: Wukong; or Moba's like League of Legends or Dota, Son Wukong has just been one of China's most enudring characters period.
